Family Medicine with OB – Duke Health role at Duke University Health System. Duke’s Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a full-time, board-certified Family Physician (MD or DO) to join our innovative, team-based practice in Durham, NC. Participate in inpatient obstetrics care with support from Duke OB/GYN and newborn nursery including call responsibilities. Responsibilities
Call 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month for the family medicine continuity deliveries, working with residents as first call. Lead a team-based care for newborns at Duke Regional Hospital, often working with APPs and residents to round on all babies in the full-term nursery. Provide outpatient care including cradle-to-grave primary care. Clinical opportunities to provide Centering Pregnancy and Parenting, prenatal care, and some procedures. Practice at one of the largest primary care sites in the region with ~25,000 visits annually and ~15,000 patient panel (50% commercial, 50% governmental). Group prenatal and well-child visits.
