We seek candidates who possess strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js. A deep comprehension of React hooks, context API, and state management tools like Redux is essential. Applicants should have experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js, as well as a solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles using SASS/SCSS. Familiarity with API integration, GraphQL, and RESTful services is expected. Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, alongside knowledge of frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards, is required. Applicants should also have experience integrating with authentication systems (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and a sound understanding of web security principles (e.g., XSS, CSRF, CORS). Additionally, candidates should have experience working with monorepos and tools like Turborepo, as well as familiarity with analytics and tracking tools like Google Analytics or Segment. Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps culture is advantageous, and familiarity with design systems and tools like Storybook, Figma, or Adobe XD is a plus.
Responsibilities In this role, I will design and develop responsive, efficient, and accessible web applications utilizing Next.js, React, and contemporary frontend technologies. I will collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to create seamless user experiences. My duties will include implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Vercel, or similar platforms. I will also focus on optimizing frontend performance and web vitals across various devices and browsers. Contributing to and evolving the design system and component libraries will be part of my responsibilities. Ensuring code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews will be a priority. Furthermore, I will participate in sprint planning, estimations, and discussions regarding the technical roadmap. Troubleshooting and resolving complex frontend issues in production environments will also be integral to my role.
Company This position is a contract role offering a pay range of $45.00 to $55.00 per hour. We provide benefits such as an employee assistance program and professional development support. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with React. The location for this role is in-person in Chicago, IL 60617, and commuting to this area is mandatory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
