This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): NC, AZ and TX.
Overview We are seeking a hands‑on, technically strong Senior Software Engineer to participate in design and development of high‑performance, mission‑critical Commercial Client Life Cycle Management (CLM) systems with a focus on client onboarding. As part of a cross‑functional global team, you will design and develop scalable and efficient software tools that support all aspects of client‑facing Commercial Client Lifecycle Management and Onboarding systems.
Responsibilities The ideal candidate should have technical guidance skills, estimation, decision‑making, communication, rapid execution, strategic view, code development, and oversight of distributed development team members. This role will be responsible for all software aspects within the team including research, design, technology insertion, development, testing, and support.
Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in the architecture, design, and implementation of client onboarding application functionality, including third‑party integrations.
Drive department best practices, guidelines implementation and adhere to standards.
Build elegant, maintainable, well‑documented, secure code and champion refactoring.
Drive technical designs to consensus and approval by partnering with the Architecture Review Team.
Design and develop enterprise solutions for specific business needs that provide reusable frameworks, interfaces and services.
Perform impact analysis of proposed changes on existing architecture, capabilities, system priorities, and technology solutions.
Maintain application architecture documentation and serve as the go‑to person for architecture discussions.
Supervise release processes (including after‑hours/weekend work as required).
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience.
Preferred Skills
Technical leadership experience for medium to large sized enterprise projects.
Experience troubleshooting production issues and analyzing root causes.
Hands‑on experience in designing and developing distributed systems.
Experience with Java/J2EE, RESTful Webservices, Node, React.
Experience with distributed systems and micro‑services architecture.
Experience developing public APIs and using API Gateways like Apigee.
Experience designing and implementing messaging and middleware technologies (Kafka, MQ).
Strong proficiency in designing RDBMS architecture and performance tuning of Oracle, MS‑SQL, SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting AWS services, least‑privilege permissions, and developing AWS infrastructure using scripts (Terraform, etc.).
Experience with Agile practices and comprehensive knowledge of day‑to‑day Agile routines.
Demonstrated experience utilizing CI/CD techniques.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Docker and Jenkins.
Nice to Have
Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Docker, OpenShift.
Experience with client and internal‑facing solutions using Fenergo (FenX) or similar KYC/onboarding platforms.
Banking/payments industry knowledge and experience delivering large modernization/transformative efforts.
