Health Care Regulatory Compliance Attorney
Feldesman LLP is seeking a seasoned attorney to join our Washington, DC office and lead complex compliance and privacy initiatives for our health care clients. This senior role will advise federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), behavioral health organizations, federal grantees, and nonprofit providers on regulatory strategy, risk management, and operational compliance. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in health care compliance, including HIPAA, the Breach Notification Rule, the Omnibus Rule, and 42 CFR Part 2. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them build and sustain robust compliance programs, respond to regulatory inquiries, and adapt to evolving legal requirements. Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level compliance programs Conduct high-level risk assessments, audits, and regulatory gap analyses Advise on privacy program development and breach response strategies Draft and refine compliance policies, procedures, and training materials Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide strategic counsel Deliver client workshops and thought leadership on compliance trends Support business development through client engagement and service innovation Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school Active DC bar license (preferred) or eligibility to waive in Minimum 8 years of health care compliance and privacy experience (law firm or in-house) CHC and/or CHPC certification preferred Proven track record advising health care organizations on federal compliance Expertise in HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and related privacy frameworks Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills High ethical standards and commitment to client service Willingness to travel up to 25% Must be available to work in-person at our Washington, DC office Application Instructions
