Manufacturing Manager - Precision Contract Manufacturing
Base Pay Range
$160,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
Location: San Jose, CA
We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations in a high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume precision contract manufacturing environment. This role is key to ensuring daily output meets customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery, while driving continuous improvement and developing a high‑performing shop floor team.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily production and drive on‑time delivery
Manage staffing, resource allocation, and shop floor performance
Enforce standard work, safety, and quality procedures
Lead, coach, and develop production team members
Translate ERP/MRP demand into executable production plans
Track KPIs (throughput, machine utilization, labor efficiency)
Identify and drive improvements in setup time, downtime, and process flow
Support customer audits and new product launches
Qualifications
7–10+ years in manufacturing leadership (contract manufacturing preferred)
Strong knowledge of CNC machining, production planning, ERP/MRP
Experience with Lean, OEE, and continuous improvement
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level
