Underwriting Account Service Associate - Construction Casualty

This is a hybrid position. The candidate should be able to report into one of the following North American office locations: Denver, CO; Gold River, CA; Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Walnut Creek, CA. Zurich North America supports a hybrid work model with flexibility and occasional in-office attendance when meaningful and valuable. Responsibilities

Reviews, evaluates, and summarizes risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to aid underwriting decisions around submission acceptance or declination. Follows instructions from Underwriters in areas of policy rating, pricing, policy construction, coverages and exclusions, mandatory forms, etc., to accurately quote and issue policies. Provides account servicing support in collaboration with Underwriter and Manager, responsible for end-to-end servicing processes for new business, renewals, and endorsements for basic to moderately complex business and products. Responds to written or verbal inquiries in a timely manner under close supervision by Underwriter and/or Manager, working collaboratively with assigned underwriters. Supports Underwriter with broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions by providing basic customer service skills. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and no prior experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area Knowledge of data collection and analysis Microsoft Office experience Preferred Qualifications

Insurance industry knowledge Knowledge of processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry Strong verbal and written communication skills Relationship-building and active listening with customers and coworkers Customer service experience Attention to detail and timely, accurate data delivery Self-directed to meet deadlines Multitasking skills 5% Travel Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range is $23.37 - $38.22 per hour, with a 5% short-term incentive eligibility. Compensation depends on location, role, skills, and experience.
