GR&S , the

Enterprise Security and Fraud

(ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. We are the trusted advisors that protect the pride of Vanguard with state-of-the-art security and fraud capabilities. Key Responsibilities

Data Classification Strategy:

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data classification framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise security policies and compliance standards.

Data Security Oversight:

Oversee the deployment of security controls to protect data across on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., O365, AWS S3, SaaS platforms).

Policy Enforcement:

Ensure adherence to the

Information Security Data Classification Policy

and related governance standards.

Technology Enablement:

Drive the adoption of automated data discovery and classification tools, integrating with DLP and CASB solutions.

Risk Management:

Identify and remediate gaps in data protection, ensuring proactive risk mitigation.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Partner with Enterprise Security, Data Governance, and business units to promote awareness and compliance.

Team Leadership:

Mentor and develop technical staff, fostering a culture of security and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

5 years in information security, with at least 3 years in data protection or classification programs.

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of DLP solutions, data discovery tools, and cloud security controls.

Policy Knowledge:

Familiarity with data classification frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional initiatives.

Certifications (Preferred):

CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
