We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Cost Analyst to join our team within the Power and Utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cost analysis, forecasting, and project controls within this industry. This mid‑senior level position requires exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in Primavera P6 and cost management tools such as Contruent, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and monitor project cost control systems to track budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and variances.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather financial data and ensure cost accuracy.

Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to align financial projections with project objectives.

Conduct cost forecasting, trend analysis, and risk assessments to identify potential budgetary issues and provide mitigation strategies.

Prepare detailed cost reports, cash flow projections, and variance analyses to support decision-making.

Integrate cost data with Primavera P6 schedules and ensure alignment between financial and scheduling activities.

Work closely with procurement and subcontractors to evaluate cost impacts, change orders, and contract compliance.

Implement and maintain cost control procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company best practices.

Participate in project meetings to provide updates on financial status, budget adjustments, and recommendations for cost optimization.

Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, cost analysis, or financial management within the Industrial, Power, and Utilities industry.

Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, cost management software (Contruent / Prism), and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and project schedules.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams, contractors, and executives.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Understanding of cost engineering principles, contract administration, and financial reporting practices.

PMP, CCP, or related certifications are a plus.

Location Requirement Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Kentucky.
