Base pay range $4,650.00/month

You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.

Who You Are A self‑motivated individual who possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A candidate well versed in auditing and monitoring practices, possessing the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, and a commitment to upholding strong professional standards and ethics.

What You Will Do The Program Monitor (Auditor I) performs entry‑level to routine (journey‑level) auditing work. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Conduct interviews with Grantee staff in a professional manner.

Uphold the integrity of the Texas Workforce Commission.

Conduct monitoring reviews in an ethical and non‑partial manner.

Research applicable laws, program standards, and regulations to support resolution decisions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH

Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or a related field – OR –

Four years of full‑time experience in accounting, program financial performance or IT auditing, or in management information systems analysis, business process analysis, contract monitoring, or impositions which provided extensive knowledge of agency budgetary controls, or administrative procedures and related state and federal regulatory laws may substitute for education.

A license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas will satisfy the minimum requirements.

A certificate to practice as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will satisfy the minimum requirements.

Ability to research and analyze applicable laws, standards, and regulations.
