Key Responsibilities
Act as the Overall Product Lead (OPL) for Liberty’s GenAI platform portfolio guiding strategic clarity and cohesion, enterprise alignment and outcome delivery.
Translate Liberty’s 2030 enterprise goals into actionable GenAI platform strategies to support both “Everyday AI” (employee augmentation) and capabilities enablement for AI‑powered business transformation.
Shape and evolve the end‑to‑end platform roadmap: foundational models, orchestration layers, agent frameworks and integration guardrails.
Aligned to business unit visions, strategies and priorities to set and communicate a compelling, measurable vision and direction for shared GenAI capabilities.
Own platform performance, tracking KPIs, outcomes and financial metrics (labor, compute, licenses) in partnership with our AIFinOps team.
Contribute meaningful insights that will shape the investment and vendor strategy (e.g., OpenAI, Microsoft, AWS, etc.).
Execution Oversight & Cross‑Org Coordination
Lead across a highly matrixed environment, leveraging storytelling and logic to drive alignment and acceleration.
Regularly engage executives, risk functions (cyber, legal, compliance) and governance bodies (e.g., RAIC) to report progress, address risks and secure investment.
Design and run prioritization and intake processes supporting both use‑case enablement and “everyday AI” end‑user adoption that balance aspiration with risk appetite and regulatory compliance.
Support business unit technology teams in their AI use‑case implementation via well‑managed foundational components aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Partner with enterprise architecture to identify foundational AI solutions, aligned to our overarching platforms, to scale for broader adoption.
Drive cultural adoption of platform standards and GenAI capabilities through education, influence and targeted enablement.
Risk‑Aware Innovation & Governance
Be a core thought partner to cyber, legal, compliance and HR in designing GenAI guardrails that are risk‑aware, not risk‑averse.
Provide input to risk experts to enable the evolution of controls and risk frameworks in support of this fast‑moving space.
Partner with legal to translate evolving regulatory obligations (GDPR, EU AI Act, etc.) into practical platform constraints and opportunities.
Shape governance narratives with clarity and confidence to enable Liberty to lead responsibly in scaling AI.
Qualifications Strategic & Technical Depth in GenAI
Deep understanding of GenAI system architecture: foundation models (open/closed), RAG, vector databases, agents, orchestration layers, etc.
Familiarity with leading platforms: Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, open‑source stacks.
Track record of evaluating build‑vs‑buy decisions in emerging tech spaces.
Knowledge of model development lifecycle: prompt tuning, evaluation, hallucination/bias testing, release gating.
Enterprise Product Leadership
Demonstrated product management, product mindset and UX design, in emerging, rapidly evolving technologies.
Track record of bringing AI/ML solutions from PoC to scaled enterprise deployment.
Rigorous experimentation: hypothesis‑driven, metrics‑led and focused on productionalization.
Bias for product thinking over project execution — reusable platform assets over bespoke builds.
Bias for platform thinking: reuse > reinvention, scale > bespoke.
Governance & Risk Acumen in Regulated Environments
Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., insurance, finance, healthcare).
Deep knowledge of AI‑specific regulatory challenges (auditability, transparency, accountability).
Proven ability to influence and shape governance models alongside legal, compliance and risk teams.
Cross‑Functional Executive Influence
Experienced operator in matrixed organizations, able to influence without authority.
Boardroom‑ready communicator with executive presence and deep technical fluency.
Effective at change management and organizational storytelling to demystify AI and drive adoption.
Additional Qualifications
Business expertise and knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience working with global delivery models and enterprise‑scale stakeholder groups.
Financial acumen to manage multi‑million‑dollar platform portfolios.
Expertise in the Insurance and Investments industries preferred.
Deep executive communication skills with a “learn‑it‑all” mindset.
History of building and scaling technical teams: ML engineers, platform architects, governance SMEs.
Demonstrated comfort experimenting with non‑consensus ideas and frontier use cases.
Brings a unique perspective — not locked into one vendor's narrative or roadmap.
