This role focuses on facilitating the “Hannaford to Go” service by overseeing associates, ensuring quality service, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
Responsibilities
Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
Maintain a neat, well‑groomed personal appearance at all times.
Assign fixed activities to Hannaford to Go associates during idle periods.
Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision.
Ensure that return‑to‑stock items are handled promptly, prioritizing refrigerated and perishable items.
Support and comply with all company safety standards; communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance.
Bag or package merchandise according to established policies and store in the designated pickup area.
Control excessive use of store supplies such as ribbons, receipt tape, bags, labels, and cleaning materials.
Assist in prompt cleanup of spills and breakage of glass or plastic to eliminate hazards.
Be knowledgeable about all produce merchandise and differentiate between varieties.
Record price discrepancies and “not on file” items; request price checks according to company policy.
Observe security standards and report abnormal behavior to manager or security.
Process all types of sales transactions, including cash, checks, credit, WIC, Food Stamps, coupons, gift cards, and bottle deposits/refunds.
Secure registers, mobile POS equipment, and RF units at all times when unattended.
Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation in compliance with store policy and health regulations.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach others.
Physical Requirements
Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking most of the shift.
Bend and lift products up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
Handle cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh produce, houseplants, and household cleaners.
Have sufficient visual acuity to read RF unit displays and check documents.
Preferred Requirements
Provide high‑standard customer service to promote goodwill.
Manage online orders and schedule associates to meet traffic demands.
Provide operational feedback to store leadership.
Partner with Department Managers for proper handling of fresh orders.
Assist customers picking up orders at the designated pickup location.

Verify customer IDs and observe store policies on check sales and alcohol/tobacco.
Handle refunds, over‑rings, and transactions requiring approvals.
Supervise associates in all duties.
