U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs The Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) invites applications for a full-time position as an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Cardiologist. The successful candidate will participate in advanced cardiac imaging studies such as cardiac CT, coronary CT angiography, cardiac MRI, and nuclear cardiac imaging (SPECT and PET). The position involves working with the Radiology program to advise on acquisition of the studies as well as coordinating the cardiac reports with other Cardiologists with skills in reading these studies. The candidate will also participate in reading echocardiography studies, and in our clinical general cardiology inpatient and outpatient services. Responsibilities Perform and interpret advanced cardiac imaging studies (cardiac CT, coronary CT angiography, cardiac MRI, SPECT, PET). Collaborate with Radiology to optimize study acquisition and coordinate cardiac reports with other cardiologists. Read echocardiography studies and participate in clinical cardiology inpatient and outpatient services. Teach residents and cardiovascular disease fellows. Engage in research in cardiac imaging or related academic areas. Qualifications Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease. Proficiency in advanced cardiac imaging; subspecialty certification in Advanced Cardiac Imaging (CBCCT) or related credentials are preferred. Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor) commensurate with experience may be provided. Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States. Strong track record in research or academic activities in cardiac imaging. Education and Training Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited school (LCME or AOA-accredited; foreign graduates may require ECFMG verification). Residency training in a core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification (ACGME or equivalent).
