The posted compensation range of $52.04 - $77.42 / hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. As our Director of Medical Staff Services at St. Mary Medical Center, you will lead a team of Medical Staff Coordinators and ensure we meet all regulatory and hospital requirements related to credentialing and privileging of Medical Staff. Your strong knowledge in Joint Commission and other regulatory standards help us properly govern the Medical Staff. You will provide accurate and timely updates related to Medical Staff membership to our Executive Leadership Team. Each day you will oversee the operations of the Medical Staff Administration office. You will guide and oversee the MSO Coordinators, facilitate committee meetings, process applications, manage the financial activities, and provide reports to hospital leadership. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong working knowledge of the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies, effective time management, and be highly organized. In addition, you will build trust with coworkers, medical staff, and leadership. Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related health or management field preferred or ability to obtain within a period of time agreed upon by supervisor. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Medical Staff office, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Required Licensure
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) achieved within one (1) year of employment. Founded as a faith-based hospital in 1923 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center is a 389-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Long Beach, California. The hospital offers a full complement of services, including a Level II trauma center, cardiac and vascular center, surgical weight loss, maternity and the CARE Center, which is a recognized PrEP center of excellence. The hospital shares a legacy of humankindness with Dignity Health, one of the nation's five largest health care systems. Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
