Position Overview We're looking for an experienced Director of Finance who will serve as a key strategic partner to our leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and scale our finance function with the potential to take on increasing responsibility and grow into formal leadership as the organization scales. The ideal candidate will bring both hands‑on financial management expertise and the strategic vision needed to guide a high‑growth company.
Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy
Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to drive business decisions
Develop and implement financial strategies that support aggressive growth targets
Provide executive leadership with actionable insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
Build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion
Financial Operations & Management
Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions
Implement and optimize financial systems, processes, and controls as the company scales
Strategic Business Partnership
Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, M&A activity, and capital allocation decisions
Translate financial data into strategic recommendations for business growth
Support fundraising activities including investor relations and due diligence processes
Drive pricing strategy and profitability analysis across product lines and customer segments
Experience working with private equity firms and managing their unique reporting requirements
Team Building & Development
Build, mentor, and scale the finance team when the time is right
Establish a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and all relevant financial requirements
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
Implement internal controls and risk management frameworks
Prepare for and support external audits
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
Expert proficiency in Quickbooks
Proven experience in high-growth environments, preferably in technology, manufacturing, or B2B sectors
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance long-term vision with operational execution
Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
Experience managing and scaling finance teams
Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences
Proficiency with modern financial systems and business intelligence tools
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range : Base Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
Annual bonus potential of up to 15%
