This role offers a base pay range of $123,600.00/yr to $162,300.00/yr, with actual compensation based on skills, experience, and location. The position is open for candidates across the United States, ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office.

Responsibilities

Layout and design of HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients.

Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including comfort, temperature/humidity control, pressurization, and clean room requirements.

Create conceptual and preliminary design documents, performing sizing calculations, air flow diagrams (AFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.

Develop final design documents, including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.

Coordinate with other disciplines and manage scheduling and technical quality of engineering tasks.

Qualifications

Professional Engineering License.

At least ten (10) years’ experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.

Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Strong adaptability in fast‑paced team environments with multiple deadlines.

Leadership ability to direct a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely with other disciplines.

Preferred Skills

Software experience with Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.

Experience designing plumbing/utility systems.
