Overview
Armed Patrol Financial Institutions Security Professional in New York, NY. This Part-Time Security Officer role uses our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule while gaining site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a financial institution location. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while carrying out armed duties. You will help to create a secure environment for clients and visitors, upholding Allied Universal s values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.
What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to deter unauthorized entry. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors. Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required. Carry and maintain assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws. What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements
Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License Possess a valid Corrections Officer License Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law Participate in industry-specific security training programs Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only Why Join Us
