Associate Director - Legal Marketing, BD & Communications Recruitment – US (Director of Marketing and Business Development) We have partnered with Pretium, a leading alternative investment management firm, and are looking to hire their first Director of Marketing and Business Development to spearhead client engagement for its Legal Opportunities division. This high‑impact, client‑facing position will collaborate closely with senior leadership to craft and implement strategies that drive revenue growth from both new and existing clients.

The role is a dynamic leadership position that combines strategic vision with a hands‑on approach to chart the course, build the roadmap, and actively drive execution. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in the investment industry and a proven ability to market complex solutions to discerning executive audiences, including law firm partners, investment professionals, and C‑suite executives.

Responsibilities

Establish, expand, and manage relationships with law firm partners, corporate in‑house counsel and other potential candidates for legal funding

Research and maintain current knowledge of opportunities for speaking, writing and conferences in the field of litigation finance

Prepare presentations for target clients

Extensive networking

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have significant experience in senior‑level marketing and business development at a major law firm, in‑house corporate or well‑known accounting firm, and an existing network of contacts at law firms and corporate legal departments.

Knowledge and familiarity with litigation and legal finance is a plus. Confidence to build long‑lasting professional relationships externally and internally will be a core component of success in this role.

This position can only be based in NYC and offers a hybrid working schedule at the midtown office.

The compensation ranges are a base salary of $300K - $350K, with a significant bonus based on performance.
