Sr. Financial Analyst - Government Accounting and Compliance
Join CAES by Honeywell as a Senior Financial Analyst focused on government accounting and compliance. In this role you will serve as the liaison between CAES and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), ensuring full compliance with federal regulations and providing critical financial analysis for our defense contracts.
Location options include Clearwater, FL; Lansdale, PA; Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; or San Jose, CA. No relocation is available.
Responsibilities
Analyze and prepare annual incurred cost proposals, forward pricing rate proposals, and unallowable reviews for final claimed cost, serving as the primary interface with DCAA audits.
Prepare regular rate monitorship reports, including variance analysis, data analytics and trending.
Support time‑charging activities, reinforcing internal controls and monitoring labor compliance.
Maintain and validate SAP rate information for Aerospace CAS compliant segments.
Support cross‑functional government compliance and finance matters, training teams, preparing white papers, and testing internal controls.
Qualifications Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
3‑5+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience with an emphasis in cost accounting.
Strong personal computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws. Eligibility as a US Person under U.S. export laws is required.
Preferred
Strong ERP experience.
Experience with FAR, CAS and U.S. Government compliance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
CPA and/or Master’s degree a plus.
Government contract accounting considered a plus.
Strong financial and business analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Independent, self‑starter with a strong work ethic and motivation.
Strong bias for action and results orientation with ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, effective cross‑functional communication.
Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
Salary Base salary range: $105,000 to $135,000 per year.
