Are you passionate about advancing cutting‑edge science and developing next‑generation cancer therapies? We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Senior Scientist with expertise in T cell therapy and/or T cell immunology to join a growing Oncology Cell Therapy Unit in Gaithersburg, MD. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of cell therapy, protein engineering, and oncology, contributing to the development of innovative treatments for solid tumors.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute laboratory experiments to advance the development of novel cell therapy approaches.

Develop and optimize methodologies, analyze and interpret complex datasets, and present scientific findings.

Contribute to the development of next‑generation CAR‑T cell therapies for the treatment of solid tumors.

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to achieve project goals and maintain a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative work environment.

Essential Qualifications

BS with 10+ years, MS with 6+ years, or PhD (0–3 years postdoctoral experience) in Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.

Strong background in T‑cell and/or NK‑cell biology, particularly within oncology research.

Proven expertise in cell culture of human immune cells and established cell lines.

Hands‑on experience with genetic modification of T cells, including viral and/or non‑viral gene editing techniques.

Proficiency in immune cell functional assays (e.g., proliferation, cytotoxicity), tumor cell co‑culture systems, multi‑plex cytokine analysis, and multi‑parameter flow cytometry.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to critically analyze and interpret scientific data.

Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands‑on experience in molecular biology techniques.

Expertise in PBMC isolation and manipulation, including subset enrichment/depletion, activation, expansion, and downstream functional assays.

Knowledge of cancer biology and experience developing in‑vitro solid tumor models.

Prior experience in cell therapy development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
