Job Description As a Senior Project Architect at AECOM, you will combine creativity, technical expertise, and leadership to design sustainable, functional architectural solutions. This role will involve working on a diverse portfolio of projects across Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Commercial, Aerospace, Higher Education, Industrial, Transportation, Aviation, and Federal markets. The position is located in Murray, UT, with a hybrid work model.

Core Responsibilities

Lead and shape innovative and functional architectural designs in concert with other architects and designers.

Assist the project manager in client relationship management and team collaboration.

Use architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) for detailed plans and drawings.

Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulations.

Integrate sustainable design principles into projects.

Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative studio environment.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including in‑house engineers and external consultants.

Address design and technical challenges with creative problem‑solving.

Present design ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.

Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and quality.

Stay current with industry trends, adapting new technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with a minimum of six (6) years of related experience or equivalent.

Licensed Architect.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (BArch/MArch) with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Experience in federal, commercial, or advanced manufacturing projects.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency with Revit and BIM, and experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Rhino, Enscape, SketchUp, or similar tools.

Working knowledge of building codes, standards, construction, and structures.

Experience developing construction documents and specifications.

Ability to lead design teams from concept through construction documents and potentially construction administration.

Client‑facing leadership and charter leader experience.

LEED certification.

Compensation Salary range: $115,000 – $145,000 per year.
