Maintenance Technician (Injection Mold) The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers. Additionally, the technician maintains facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis, and other water filtration systems. The technician collaborates with machine operators, supervisors, and other maintenance staff to resolve mechanical issues and proposes solutions for complex problems.

Essential Functions

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.

Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other machinery at the facility.

Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment following Niagara's processes.

Maintain industrial control systems.

Work independently and with team members to complete repairs safely and efficiently.

Create and report repairs, complete work order paperwork, and document parts and material usage.

Follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and machine operation.

May fill in for production operator as needed.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in maintenance or a similar environment.

Experience performing maintenance on injection mold machines.

Experience managing people and projects.

Effective communication skills across departments.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics.

Skilled with shop equipment and precision measuring tools.

Own toolbox and basic tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

6+ years in manufacturing maintenance.

Experience with high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.

Knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.

Experience with specific equipment such as Krones, Sidel, Husky, HVAC systems, and electrical schematics.

Skilled in fabrication, electrical repairs, and troubleshooting complex systems.

Education

Minimum: High School Diploma.

Preferred: Associate's Degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, or related field.
