Description The General Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving the success of our dispensary. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, financial performance, and team development with a sharp focus on maximizing profitability and delivering exceptional customer experiences. From driving sales growth and building customer loyalty to ensuring full compliance with evolving cannabis regulations, the General Manager leads with a balance of strategic insight and hands‑on execution. As the face of the dispensary, they bring the company’s mission to life—connecting our purpose with both team members and the community we serve.
Job Duties
Ensure flawless execution of operational standards, including compliance with established company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Provide direct supervision and proactive management of the store team, including providing performance feedback, appraisals, and corrective actions.
Build and sustain a high-performing team through employee selection, onboarding, coaching and clear accountability for results.
Monitor the performance of the store and its team by analyzing and interpreting financial and operational reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
Assist in establishing goal clarity to store employees and supports them in the achievement of personal and company goals.
Supports inventory control by use of the State required Tracking System; Performs all receiving, transferring, reporting, reconciling, and inventory management functions.
Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash transactions and reconciliations, guest records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with the state regulatory agency and the standards set by Company.
Create a culture of teamwork and growth by working closely with the management team, setting priorities, completing assigned tasks, and providing direction and guidance.
Ensure employees are knowledgeable of any regulatory changes, providing consistent coaching across guest experience, product knowledge and regulatory compliance.
Provide regular updates, feedback, and solutions to corporate retail leadership across all areas of dispensary operations, driving success in an evolving industry.
Partner with Human Resources, Compliance, Security, Employee Health and Safety, Marketing, and IT on company initiatives to drive profitable sales.
Expected to work all scheduled work days during scheduled hours and report to work on time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Working knowledge of the cannabis industry, including cash handling procedures, product familiarity, inventory management, compliance standards, and audit processes.
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a retail management role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry systems such as METRC.
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid state‑issued ID.
Must successfully pass all background checks required under Ohio cannabis regulations.
