About the Role:
We’re seeking a
Design Engineer
with strong 3D modeling skills to join our client's growing engineering team. This position focuses on designing and developing sheet metal products and assemblies from concept through production. The ideal candidate will be proficient in any leading 3D modeling software—such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or similar—and have a solid understanding of design-for-manufacturability principles.
Key Responsibilities
Design and model sheet metal components and assemblies using 3D CAD software.
Prepare and maintain detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are efficient, accurate, and production-ready.
Review and improve existing product designs to enhance performance, reduce cost, and simplify fabrication.
Participate in prototype development, testing, and implementation of design changes.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards and internal quality requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in
Mechanical Engineering ,
Design Engineering , or a related field.
2–4 years of professional experience
in mechanical or product design (sheet metal experience preferred).
Proficiency in 3D modeling software — Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or equivalent
(required).
Strong understanding of fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving, detail orientation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
