Hours Per Week: 40 Weekdays, 7:30am-4:00pm (unless otherwise discussed by manager). Call 1 night/week and every 5th weekend.
Pay
$34.90 - $52.35
Position Highlights
Sign-On Bonus:
$15,000 sign-on bonus, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements.
Department:
Cardiac Catheterization Lab – Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Lab features hybrid catheterization-surgery capabilities with advanced heart and vascular therapies. Some procedures include valve repair with CABG, percutaneous valve procedures, EVAR, TEVAR.
Location:
Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, a nationally renowned academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center in North Carolina. Relocation assistance may be available; learn more about Winston-Salem.

Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license in NC
Or completion of an Allied Health Technology Program (Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.) with registry or license as pertains to field of expertise
Or completion of Cardiovascular Interventional Program
Skills & Qualifications
Two years of experience within registry/license scope preferred
CPR certification upon hire
Proficient in procedure room roles (Circulator, Recorder, Scrubbing)
Professional communication with diverse age groups
Analytical skills for scheduling, equipment, and instruction comprehension
Job Responsibilities
Emergency Preparedness:
Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are ready; respond to potential emergencies.
Safe & Therapeutic Environment:
Promote safety practices, maintain equipment knowledge, report malfunctions.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate departmental records and logs; enter patient data and charges; safeguard privacy.
Communication:
Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues; address conflicts as needed.
On-Call:
24-hour emergency call coverage for Cardiac Cath Lab; rotating on-call with timely response within 25 minutes; coordinate interdepartmental activities.
Patient Care:
Monitor patient stability during procedures; administer medications/treatments under supervision; assist with advanced procedures.
Education & Consultation:
Mentor coworkers/trainees; participate in continuing education; perform/maintain point-of-care testing and competencies.
Age-Specific Care:
Provide age-appropriate care; update age-specific guidelines.
