Position Overview Were seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor or Therapist to join our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. The ideal candidate has experience working in the substance abuse field, enjoys being part of a dynamic, male-only environment, and thrives in a culture that values activity, connection, and real-life recovery. Youll provide individual and group therapy, support relapse prevention planning, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to guide clients toward long-term success. Key Responsibilities * Facilitate group therapy sessions for men in PHP and IOP levels of care * Conduct individual counseling sessions focused on recovery goals, relapse prevention, and life skills * Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner * Participate in team meetings and coordinate with case management and support staff * Engage with clients during lifestyle and community activities that promote wellness and connection * Maintain ethical and professional standards aligned with state and program guidelines Qualifications * Required: * Minimum of 12 years experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling * Licensed or working toward licensure (LAPC, LPC, LCSW, LMSW, or CADC, CAC1 preferred) * Ability to connect well in a male-focused environment * Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills * Preferred: * Experience in PHP/IOP levels of care * Familiarity with active recovery or experiential treatment models Flexible full-time or part-time scheduling * Supportive, fun, and collaborative work environment * Opportunities for professional growth and supervision * A culture that values health, activity, and genuine connection * Competitive pay based on experience and licensure If youre passionate about helping men build strong, healthy lives in recovery
