Overview
ABOUT THE POSITION VHB's Highway and Structural Design teams are looking for a talented Transportation Intern
to join our South Portland, ME office! This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.
Responsibilities Collaborates with VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner.
Assists in the development of transportation design plans and specifications. Prepares cost estimates for various projects. Utilizes CAD software to complete key deliverables for our design team. Skills and Attributes Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to independently perform multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with coworkers. Self-motivated with attention to detail. A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and achieve. Familiarity with transportation and highway engineering principles and resources. Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD/Civil3D) is a plus. Qualifications Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in civil engineering or related field. VHB does not provide housing for internships.
