The Assistant Controller will lead the accounting function of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all financial functions. This role is both hands‑on and highly visible, managing the month‑end close, financial reporting, and system integrations while also supporting strategic initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll oversight Ensure proper NetSuite positing of revenue and expenses by channel to allow for accurate reporting by channel Manage the payroll and benefits payment process for both domestic and international employees Maintain and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation to ensure GAAP compliance Execute the month‑end and year‑end close process to deliver accurate and timely financial statements Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and other financial partners as needed Assist with cash flow analysis as needed Supervise or directly perform journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accrual management Implement and maintain standardized reporting and documentation practices Ensure accurate inventory accounting and COGS reporting across channels Manage and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and precision Partner with operations, retail, and sales teams to ensure alignment between business activity and financial reporting Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi‑channel retail or consumer brand environment In‑depth knowledge of GAAP, month‑end close, and financial reporting Strong working knowledge of NetSuite required Advanced Excel and data analysis skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑moving environment Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Attributes
Experience with inventory accounting, COGS, and multi‑entity consolidations Background in private equity‑backed or high‑growth consumer companies Demonstrated success improving systems, processes, and reporting accuracy Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed. Must be able to navigate all areas of the organization’s facilities. Location
