Overview Talent Acquisition Specialist Sr

– Columbus, OH – Onsite.

Duties Looking for a talent acquisition specialist with dedicated IT/technical experience.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist Sr is responsible for full life‑cycle recruiting, screening, and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). The role manages technical and non‑technical exempt professional positions, management positions, and other related responsibilities. It requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and can serve as a resource to less seasoned Talent Acquisition employees.

Essential Job Functions

Partner with hiring manager and HR Business Partner to determine staffing needs.

Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, make recommendations for hire (or not hire), and deliver employment offers for both exempt and non‑exempt position openings within an assigned territory.

Act as an expert recruiter within an assigned territory.

Use traditional and non‑traditional resources such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

Partner with Sourcing Specialist to bring a diverse slate of qualified candidates to the hiring manager.

Manage the internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.

Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.

Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non‑compete agreements).

Ensure onboarding and new‑hire orientation processes occur.

Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.

Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

Maintain memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.

Take the lead in the development of one or more annual affirmative action plans.

Suggest and help implement ongoing process improvements to ensure an effective, efficient, and compliant recruiting process.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience.

Five years of corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management‑level exempt positions, including 3 years of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.

Valid driver’s license.
