The AM Server Assistant with F&B 575 at Aman New York maintains all dining room environment and equipment, assists servers, anticipates guests’ needs and addresses them accordingly.
This position has an hourly rate of $16.50 + Tips.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Check assigned station before, during and after shift for proper set up and cleanliness.
Responsible for completion of designated side work checklists (both opening and closing).
Responsible for keeping dining room floors free of debris and spilled liquids.
Bus tables and reset tables for the next guest.
Pick up and clean linen for service, drop off soiled linen to designated area.
Always provide excellent service to all guests.
Assist guests courteously and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness of dining room and station at all times.
Keep chairs and banquettes clean and free of debris.
Handle customer requests in a timely manner.
Set up side station with sugar bowls, water pitcher, bread, butter, etc.
Ensure all silverware is polished and spotless.
Follow course cleaning program as established in side work sheet.
Upkeep and clear tables between courses throughout the meal.
Deliver food from kitchen to guests’ tables, including tray service.
Assist in setting up tables according to floor plan.
Anticipate guest needs so guests never have to ask for anything.
Attend all food and beverage training classes when requested.
Wish every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming.
Be aware at all times of the type of water each guest is drinking at their station.
Make coffee, tea, and hot beverages for guests.
Place all to-go food in appropriate containers.
Attend daily pre-meal communication meeting.
Attend monthly department meeting.
Communicate with all servers and server assistants in a professional manner.
All other responsibilities assigned by management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Open availability.
Able to commit to shifts as early as 6:30 am.
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
Be a self‑motivator and motivator of others.
Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
Have good knowledge of food and beverage preparations.
Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management.
Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Have excellent communication and organization skills.
Maintain clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming.
Consistently delight and satisfy guests.
Handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
TIPS and ServSafe certified.
Comfortable with exposure to the elements; outdoor work may be required.
Ability to carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 50 lbs; standing, bending, and lifting required.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
