to lead the accuracy, consistency and reliability of financial data across all accounting and investment systems. What You Can Expect In This Role Supervise, coach, mentor and motivate the Data Integrity team; participate in all aspects of personnel management including hire/termination decisions and performance reviews. Demonstrate professional behavior and accountability that reflects the company’s values, and set a positive example for the entire department. Own data governance in investment accounting systems, managing relationships with custodians and asset managers to streamline data feeds. Collaborate with external investment managers, system vendors, and internal reporting teams to resolve data‑related issues and support data‑driven decision‑making. Improve and participate in the execution of key controls related to the Model Audit Rule (MAR) to eliminate deficiencies and maintain a robust control environment. Serve as first point of contact for users of investment data, answering day‑to‑day queries and handling system administrator functions. Act as subject matter expert for complex accounting requirements and assist the team with GAAP, NAIC and insurance investment accounting knowledge. Lead projects as the product owner for the investment accounting system, collaborating across departments, vendors, custodians and asset managers. Support the integration of accounting book of record (ABOR) data with downstream systems and resolve technical issues. Continuously scrub and enhance data within investment systems (holdings, transactions, security master files). Participate in system upgrades, user acceptance testing, project management and configuration of new system requirements. Increase productivity through software integrations, automation and coordination of information needs across teams. Document and streamline process flows, evaluate current processes for efficiencies and automation opportunities. Communicate changes to investment accounting software and provide training to users. Assist in analysis of data for valuation, pricing, prepayment speeds, and cash flow projections. Build relationships with team members and leadership; embrace shared values of accountability, connection, openness, respect and integrity. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to attendance and punctuality policies. What We're Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Management (Preferred). Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, insurance, financial reporting, auditing or a related field (Preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience with investment accounting systems (Preferred). Familiarity with accounting systems, key controls, audit reports, report writing tools and data analysis tools. Proven ability to build strong working relationships with corporate accounting staff and asset management partners. Knowledge of complex investment instruments. Strong command of GAAP and statutory accounting, insurance and investment accounting principles. Effective oral and written communication skills; active listener with an engaging, approachable style. Exceptional problem‑solving skills and encouragement of critical thinking. Team player who shares knowledge and supports change initiatives. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, self‑directed with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Exemplifies organizational values in day‑to‑day actions. Travel up to 10% may be required, primarily between Sammons locations. Other Requirements Criminal background check required. Compliance with SEC program including monitoring of personal securities transactions and restrictions on outside business activities. Starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.
