Job Overview
Litigation paralegal for a plaintiffs’ side law firm that specializes in complex litigation, including class actions, antitrust, and mass torts. Candidate must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment and organize and track large, months‑long projects. The role requires an understanding of the legal process and the ability to apply critical thinking to identify efficient methods and potential issues. Role and Responsibilities
Research case–related factual issues including court rules and regulations Assist in the preparation and filing of pleadings Organize and manage incoming documents Coordinate collection, review, and production of documents in response to discovery requests Utilize document databases such as Relativity, Everlaw, or DISCO Prepare deposition exhibits and coordinate deposition logistics, including attorney travel and court reporter arrangements Communicate with clients Summarize deposition transcripts Summarize medical records Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit assembly and witness binders Accurately record information Run and analyze reports Qualifications and Skills Requirements
Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience Advanced Excel skills, including calculations, automation, pivot tables, data manipulation, validation, conditional formatting, and VLOOKUP functions Advanced Word skills, including merge function, table of authorities, table of contents, style and template creation, and document collaboration Job Type: Full‑time Pay: $56,400.00 – $75,000.00 per year Location: Kansas City Metropolitan Area
