Job Summary As the Restaurant Manager at 1906, a Fine Dining Restaurant at Longwood Gardens, you will lead the front‑of‑house team in delivering outstanding service in an upscale, garden‑inspired setting. You’ll be the driving force behind team development, ensuring the seamless execution of fine dining standards, and delivering unforgettable guest interactions. This role requires a strong presence on the floor, hands‑on leadership, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and inspire the front‑of‑house staff in delivering elevated, fine dining service
Ensure all service standards align with the expectations of Longwood Gardens, our company, and our guests
Maintain and manage staff scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties
Conduct daily pre‑shift meetings and communicate service goals clearly
Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet and exceed guest expectations
Manage daily floor plans, station assignments, and reservation systems to optimize service flow
Supervise and ensure completion of daily side work and service readiness
Maintain a pristine and welcoming dining room environment
Resolve guest concerns promptly with professionalism and grace
Act as an ambassador of hospitality and a role model for the team
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience in fine dining
2–3 years of upscale restaurant management experience
Deep knowledge of fine dining service and industry trends
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and inspire a team
Experience with POS and reservation systems; proficiency in MS Office
Proven ability to handle high‑pressure environments with poise and professionalism
Impeccable personal presentation and communication skills
