Where You Come In The Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator role sits at the intersection of DJ culture, social storytelling, community engagement and brand strategy. You will manage the day‑to‑day publishing, creative development and capturing of original, social‑first content across Beatsource and DJ City. Under the direction of the Social Media Manager, you will bring a deep connection to the open‑format DJ world and inject that insight into our content strategy, shaping our voice across platforms and embedding our brands at the heart of each community to drive conversations, moments and movements.
Responsibilities
Channel & Community Management:
Manage daily publishing across Beatsource and DJcity; surface relevant content, conversations or moments where our brands can actively participate.
Content Creation & Video Production:
Lead filming and editing tasks for short‑form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts); shoot and edit compelling, brand‑aligned content; develop original Beatsource and DJcity content series and story franchises; collaborate with the wider video and content teams for brand consistency.
Campaign Execution & Calendar Management:
Support the Social Media Manager with the execution of social campaigns tied to releases, partnerships or cultural moments; maintain an organized, up‑to‑date content calendar; schedule and publish multiple content modules on Hootsuite, tagging content consistently.
Trend Identification & Creative Input:
Monitor emerging trends in music, social media and nightlife culture; proactively pitch creative ideas gaining traction online; translate insights into content formats or experiments; identify creators and influencers to partner with.
Performance Reporting & Optimization:
Manage content posting in Hootsuite and proprietary systems for series‑based reporting; support the Social Media Manager in identifying what’s working, what isn’t and suggesting optimizations; share learnings with the wider team to inform future content planning.
Qualifications
Deep familiarity with DJ culture and the global music community, particularly open‑format.
Confidence using TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and the wider social landscape.
Experience filming and editing short‑form video content using tools or native social editing apps.
Conceptual thinker and originator of creative ideas.
Solid understanding of platform best practices and how to craft content for different formats.
Understanding of what makes content engaging and how to capture the audience’s attention.
Clear and concise communication skills—both in writing (captions, copy) and collaboration.
Strong time management and organization skills to manage multiple brands and deadlines.
Ideally up to 40 hours per week availability.
