Overview We are seeking a metal finishing technician to join our team at the Prototype Development Center located in Littleton, CO. You will be supporting the application of a vast range of coatings to space flight critical hardware in support of our nation's most ambitious endeavors.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through the practice of safe work habits.

Utilize and maintain the appropriate PPE for assigned tasks.

Process hardware using both immersion in chemical baths and spray applications.

Read and interpret manufacturing instructions, drawings, and materials list.

Mask hardware surfaces to meet coating design requirements using tape, plugs, and liquid maskant.

Select optimal racking method to minimize defects and processing time.

Perform daily organization and upkeep of assigned process area.

Handle hazardous chemicals correctly and safely. Follow all policies and directions for safe use of and proper disposal of hazardous chemicals.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Ability to lift hardware into and out of chemical baths.

Ability to work from engineering drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.

Basic math and computer skills.

Familiarity with measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.

Desired Skills

Experience working with hazardous chemicals.

Knowledge of industrial chemistry.

Familiarity with metallic coatings processes such as conversion coating, anodizing, passivation, and etching.

Ability to mask hardware with accuracy.

Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Clearance Level: None

Work Schedule: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay & Benefits Annual base salary range: $44,900 - $79,005 (depending on state). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
