Job Summary: We are seeking a National Account Manager to join our team at PFX! We are looking for someone with 3+ years of experience managing National Retail Accounts, preferably in the Automotive Retail industry. A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred. The National Account manager is responsible for managing both existing customers but also seeking out incremental business to grow our national retail customer presence. This person would be responsible for driving growth and selling the full line of offerings within PFX Group (Prestone & Recochem) to large retail customers. The National Account Manager is also responsible for leveraging national programs as well as running customer specific marketing and promotions along with product training and support. Prestone (a Recochem company) is a fast-growing company with multiple line offerings so adaptability and flexibility are a must. Individual must be tenacious, a self-starter, have a winning mentality and demonstrate a curiosity and hunger for success!

This is an individual contributor position and will be managing specific Retail customers, not a team (no direct reports).

This is a remote position requiring approximately 30%+ travel across the US. Candidates must be currently based in the US, with preference towards those based in Georgia or North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

Work with Category Managers across a portfolio of existing retail customers (Advance Auto Parts, The Home Depot, Lowes, Menards & Grainger) to grow our current business as well as seek out opportunities for new/incremental business and customers.

Maintain a current opportunities list and follow-up on all inquiries and leads.

Assume responsibility that all customers are aware of new programs, promotions, advertising materials, and policies.

Work with existing customer base to consult/train their employees on how to productively sell all Prestone/Recochem product lines including Prestone Antifreeze, Prestone Performance Chemicals and Adam’s Polishes Appearance items.

Work with customers to assure that they are fully stocked with necessary products, catalogs, and marketing materials.

Know and understand your competition and their policies, pricing structure, distribution, strengths, and weaknesses.

Assume responsibility to keep Retail team and Corporate Office informed of competitive activity, effective sales programs, and customer reaction to company programs/policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Previous account management experience, 3-5 years desired in Auto Retail/DIY Channels (Advance Auto Parts, The Home Depot, Lowes, Menards & Grainger)

Ability to travel on a routine basis, as needed for line reviews, business reviews, market visits, etc.

Strong desire to prospect and sell new customers

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Professional etiquette

Ability to work with highly confidential information

MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI reporting efficiency
