Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to lead the month-end close process across multiple entities and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. This role requires a strong command of full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive mindset to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute month-end and year-end close for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany balances, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts.
Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions and eliminations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
Collaborate with AP, AR, and payroll teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
Participate in system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
