Overview
Manager, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis at Alaska Airlines. The role leads divisional FP&A activities, drives cost reduction and growth opportunities, and supports operating and capital expense discipline with value-added analyses. Responsibilities
Lead a team of analysts within a specific division of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, assign tasks, coach, and oversee scheduled reports and ad-hoc analyses. Facilitate budgeting and forecasting for operating and capital spend. Ensure financial discipline aligned with division and company objectives. Partner with teams to generate productivity metrics and drive ownership of financial metrics across the organization. Identify and prioritize projects via the business case process, considering available cash and resources. Manage monthly close and variance reporting for multiple divisions; review close processes with direct reports to ensure accuracy of journal entries and accruals. Identify key variances, trends, and potential issues affecting financial performance; create insightful variance reporting for FP&A and division leadership. Support the Director, Divisional FP&A with guidance, strategic business input, and financial performance communication to divisional leadership. Educate cost center managers on financial tools, enforce timely accrual submissions, and interpret financial results. Develop ad-hoc financial analyses and business cases; provide strategic and tactical feedback to division leadership. Drive cost ownership across departments and provide ongoing analysis for contracts, negotiations, strategic priorities, projects, and quarterly reporting. Engage cross-divisionally with division leaders and finance teams to align divisional priorities with company goals. Qualifications
Required 5 years of experience in finance, business consulting, accounting or related field. 2 years of leadership experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, math, accounting or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Deep knowledge of financial tools (NPV, ROIC, cash flow, activity-based costing, accounting fundamentals). Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening). Self-starter with ability to analyze complex data and provide concise, timely business recommendations. Minimum age 18; must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred 4 years of experience in the airline industry or related field. 2 years in financial planning & analysis. Experience with IBM Cognos TM1, PeopleSoft, Alteryx, Tableau or related tools. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. CPA, CFA or MBA preferred. Leadership & Values

Salary Range: $117,850 - $176,800 per year. Pay based on location, experience, and skillset with internal equity considerations.
