Attorney – Employment & Civil Rights Law
A midsize plaintiff-side law firm in New York City is seeking an Attorney with experience in employment law, civil rights law, police brutality, or municipal liability. This attorney will take the lead on cases and play a key role in litigation employment discrimination matters on the plaintiff side.

The firm represents victims of workplace discrimination and harassment across multiple states, with a team of 30+ attorneys. Responsibilities
Manage a robust caseload of employment discrimination matters (sexual harassment, race, gender, age, pregnancy, disability).
Conduct client intake, provide ongoing case guidance, and build strong attorney‑client relationships.
Research and develop legal strategies, arguments, and case assessments.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs.
Conduct depositions, interviews, and trial preparation.
Represent clients in mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to leverage firm‑wide expertise.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of federal litigation experience in employment law, civil rights, police brutality, or municipal liability.
Licensed to practice in New York.
Demonstrated experience managing cases from intake through settlement and/or trial.
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Excellent client management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle a high‑volume caseload.
Team‑oriented, with a commitment to advocating for individuals’ workplace rights.
