Position Summary
The Project Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of project execution, from budgeting to forecasting, cost control, revenue recognition, risk management and compliance. This role is a key liaison between Project Management, Finance and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking, reporting and governance across the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain project budgets, update forecasts, and manage cash flow projections. Cost Control & Analysis: Track project costs, analyze variances, and support corrective action plans. Project Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain performance dashboards and prepare periodic project financial reports. Contract: Ensure contract terms are adhered to regarding financial reporting, milestones, liquidated damages and billing. Risk & Change Management: Assess financial impacts of project changes and integrate approved adjustments into forecasts and billing. Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to corporate, audit, and accounting standards (SOX, GAAP). Customer Billing & Invoicing: Oversee accurate and timely billing aligned with contract terms; support AR in resolving issues. Month End Close: Finalize project margin and accruals; ensure accurate revenue recognition based on Percentage of Completion (POC). Oversight: Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, contracts all in line with budget and proper cost allocation. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 1–3 years of project-controls or cost-control experience in construction, EPC, or energy projects. Strong proficiency with NetSuite, Procore, and advanced Excel; earned‑value engagement expertise preferred. Proven ability to communicate complex ideas simply and drive proactive process improvements. Takes initiative and contributes actively to a fast‑growing, results‑driven team. Location
