Job Summary We are seeking a detail-driven and highly motivated Property Accountant with strong experience in Yardi to support our growing real estate operations. This position plays a vital role in managing the financial health of a portfolio of properties, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, billing, and reconciliation across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain full‑cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries in Yardi (required)
Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts monthly
Process tenant billings, CAM reconciliations, and property‑level expenses
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in monthly financial reporting and property performance summaries
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis
Coordinate with property managers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies
Maintain up‑to‑date records for leases, rent rolls, and tenant ledgers
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Recommend and help implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance required
Strong understanding of GAAP and full‑cycle accounting principles
Intermediate Excel skills pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data sorting / filtering)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously
Clear and professional communication skills
Experience with property management software Yardi, AppFolio, MRI)
