The Property Accountant ensures accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role collaborates with AR, AP, property management teams, asset managers, and external auditors to provide financial insights that support decision-making. Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting functions for properties within the assigned portfolio region. (around 30 properties) Complete monthly close tasks accurately and meet all deadlines outlined in the Team Calendar. Complete manager-assigned tasks accurately and by the assigned due dates. Perform peer reviews and approve journal entries on designated review days. Maintain a strong understanding of most accounting procedures and policies. Demonstrates basic knowledge of Yardi functionality, including but not limited to: Journal Entries Aging Reports AP Analytics GPR Report Fixed Asset Directory Collect Processor Report/Returned Transactions Report Bank Reconciliations Job Cost Analytics Develop and maintain relationships with onsite teams to stay informed of operational events impacting financials. Generate and analyze variance reports to compare actual results against budgeted figures. Prepare and submit required external reporting. Compile and complete audit packages as requested. Note:
