POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician to provide advanced multi-skilled maintenance and technical engineering support in a TPM-driven environment. This role requires strong leadership in mentoring technicians across all levels, while driving site and corporate objectives with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in electrical and mechanical systems-including PLCs, CNCs, and industrial hydraulics-and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and a respectful workplace. Experience operating Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) and maintaining compliance with licensing and safety standards is essential.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

State Board of Electricity Journeyman or Master license required and provide multi-skilled maintenance and technical engineering support focused on customer service, quality, cost and productivity in a TPM environment

Ability to lead projects and mentor/coach all level technicians

Maintain the responsibilities and performance requirements within all fields of the Maintenance team including all requirements for Technician levels I, II, & III

Provide and support site and corporate goals and strategic objectives with minimal direction

Demonstrate and promote a respectful workplace environment

Continuous job-related training and current electrical license is required for this position

Operates Power Industrial Trucks (PIT).

ELECTRICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Understand, troubleshoot and problem solve issues of high complexity in advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, etc.)

Proficient at internal networks and MES equipment integration

Able to troubleshoot instruments and equipment using an oscilloscope and other advanced metering technologies

Understand functions, components and operating principles of protective relays, over-current relays, re-closing relays, voltage relays, auxiliary relays, solid-state relays, differential relays, distance relays, pilot wire relays and breaker failure relays

Capable to program PLC, HMI's, Drives and Servo's for new applications

Program production CNC machining equipment

MECHANICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Utilize precision measuring equipment to perform root cause analysis on equipment. Understand function of tools and job specific applications per tool

Observe and understand equipment sequence of operation and configuration to isolate failure and perform root cause analysis

Organizing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs

Understand characteristics and operation of foreign industrial equipment, systems and their components, and the safety hazards associated with them

Engineer process flows of equipment and the needs for production

Understand components and operation of various types of valves and valve actuators used in hydraulic systems

Understand code / license requirement

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a Class A Journeyman License required

Minimum 2-yr technical degree in a related field or equivalent past work experience

Must operate/be trained in the use of Power Industrial Trucks (PIT).

Advanced PC and electrical control competencies required

Advanced problem solving and analytical competencies, able to identify and predict failures and bring solutions to the problem

Directs and provides leadership/mentoring/coaching of other technicians and engineers

PHYSICAL REQIREMENTS:

Some heavy lifting required to replace motors, pumps, extruder screws, etc., at low frequency. Equipment is provided to move / manipulate heavy components

Occasionally squat, crawl, reach above shoulders, kneel and balance

Requires repetitive action such as simple staring, grasping, firm grasping, and fine manipulating. (includes right and left hands)

Outside work required

Working with various chemicals

High work from, ladders and platforms

Working in confined space conditions

Wearing the proper PPE

Handling hazardous waste wearing the appropriate PPE

Working near energized electric circuits

Working near/on hot equipment/materials

PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 68 pounds

Ability to safely push and/or pull up to 92 pounds of force

COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.

Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $44.65 - $55.87 hourly inclusive of an 8%, 2nd shift differential equating to $48.22- $60.33 hourly.
