Job Summary:

Manage, oversee, and train Sanitation Employees. Perform and monitor operation of all Clean in Place (CIP) systems including washer temperatures, pressures, silos levels and egg temperatures. Troubleshoot mechanical problems. Responsible for: overall cleaning of Breaking facility and grounds. Assemble and disassemble equipment, clean with high pressure water and perform general janitorial cleaning. Maintain and enforce all Sanitation, LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space and General Safety Procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage, oversee, and train Sanitation Employees

• Perform and monitor operation of all Clean in Place (CIP) systems including washer temperatures, pressures, conductivity tests, silos levels and egg temperatures.

• Maintain quality assurance programs

• Responsible for USDA compliance and interaction with inspector.

• Complete Checklists

• Perform Sanitation employees' duties and responsibilities when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with and follow all OSHA and REI safety regulations and procedures

• Understand and interpret company, industry, state and federal regulations

• Perform other tasks as assigned

• Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere and equipment

• Sweep with large push broom, regular sweep kitchen broom, squeegee or floor mop

• Use floor cleaning and refinishing equipment

• Attention to detail

• Hand/Eye/to Maintain cleanliness of processing facility and grounds

• Maintain cleanliness of break rooms, cafeterias, conference rooms, restrooms, hallways, entrance ways within Further Processing, Breaker and office areas

• Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system.

• Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.

• Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.

• Clean processing equipment with high pressure water and manual scrubbing

• General janitorial/ sanitation cleaning

• Disassemble and reassemble equipment

• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures

• Perform other tasks as assigned

• Complete scheduled Master Sanitation tasks in a timely manner

• Self-inspection of all completed work before pre-op



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere and equipment

• Ability to use high pressure hose.

• Ability to use floor cleaning and refinishing equipment

• Knowledge of basic chemical usage and safety

• Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand

• Hand/Eye/Foot Coordination

• Independent Self Starter/Team Player

• Basic Computer Skills: Touch screens, Excel, Word

• Slip Resistant Boots/Frocks/ Hearing Protection/ Safety Glasses/ Hair nets/beard nets/Respirator mask/Hard hat where required.

• High Pressure wand and hoses

• Large push broom, kitchen pull broom/Squeegee, floor mop/ High pressure wand/ Air hoses
