As a
Security Guard - Armed Government Facility
in
Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated government locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is an armed position, requiring you to demonstrate professionalism and integrity at all times. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence. Document observations, occurrences, and incidents as required by site protocols and Allied Universal standards. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical incidents or emergencies. Follow all firearm handling, usage, and storage protocols as outlined by Allied Universal and site-specific requirements. Remain alert and prepared to respond promptly to any incidents that may arise during assigned shifts. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid and current concealed carry weapons permit. Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Possess an armed guard card or license. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
