This position involves the operation of heavy equipment on road construction projects. Applicants must have at least three years of experience operating equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, excavators, or front-end loaders. Road construction project experience is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy road construction equipment with prior experience.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oiling, greasing, servicing, and making normal adjustments to equipment.
• Understand all aspects of the paving industry, including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other asphalt paving details.
• Ensure the efficient working condition of equipment and perform minor servicing; report major issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with related duties such as shovel work, setting string lines, and adjusting screed extensions.
