Heavy Equipment Operator - Atmore, AL at CRH

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH’s South Division, is a leading supplier of quality asphalt and construction services in the southeastern U.S. with operations in Alabama. We work with government agencies, private contractors, counties and municipalities to produce millions of tons of high‑quality construction materials and pave many miles of highways every year.

This is a highly skilled position involving the operation of heavy equipment on road construction projects. Applicants must have at least three years of experience operating equipment such as motorgrader, bulldozer, excavator, front‑end loader. Road construction project experience is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy road construction equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oiling, greasing and service adjustments.
• Maintain a solid understanding of paving industry aspects including grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications and compaction.
• Ensure equipment is in efficient working condition, perform minor servicing and refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Assist with related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
