Apparel Production Assistant

An apparel design company is seeking a Production Assistant to join our growing team. This role supports the full production cycle — from purchase order management to tracking timelines and samples — ensuring the smooth execution of new and replenishment styles.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong data entry and Excel skills who’s excited to learn the ins and outs of fashion production in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and issue factory purchase orders for new and replenishment styles, ensuring all quantities, delivery dates, and pricing details are accurate.
  • Participate in new style reviews to confirm packaging and labeling requirements.
  • Set up styles and maintain data in the ERP system (Blue Cherry or similar).
  • Track and update production timelines (T&A) and prepare regular status reports for management.
  • Maintain bulk order and forecast charts, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Manage Quick Response (QR) orders and communicate with overseas teams.
  • Review and log Top of Production (TOP) samples and identify any packaging discrepancies.
  • Support special sample requests for marketing or events.
  • Provide administrative assistance for material testing, customs documentation, and hangtag approvals.
  • Act as a backup for team members as needed on data entry and production support tasks.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in apparel production or data entry (internship experience counts).
  • Strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as BlueCherry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Business, or a related field.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Paid vacation, personal, and sick time
  • Paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Parental leave (including non-birthing parents)
  • Short-term disability and voluntary benefits
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Education reimbursement and employee discounts
