Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Manufacturing Technician located in Dallas, Texas.
Reporting to the Operations Excellence Manager, the Manufacturing Technician role is responsible for supporting production operations, process improvement, and product quality within a lean manufacturing environment. Products related to Relay Panels, Low Voltage Switchgear, Substation Buildings and Fabrication.
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
What a typical day looks like
- Work closely with engineers, operators, and quality teams to set up equipment, conduct tests, perform troubleshooting, and ensure consistent manufacturing performance
- Maintain production standards and implement lean methodologies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product reliability
- Support Lean Implementation on the Shop Floor by assisting engineers in deploying 5S, standardized work, visual management, and workplace organization to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Conduct Time Studies and Process Observations to identify non–value-added activities, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities within production lines
- Collaborate with Engineers and Operators to develop and sustain standardized work instructions, ensuring consistent performance and training alignment across shifts
- Participate in Kaizen Events and Continuous Improvement Projects, contributing hands‑on support in process mapping, problem‑solving, and implementation of quick wins
- Assist in Equipment Set‑Up, Calibration, and Process Optimization to ensure machines run efficiently and within defined process limits, reducing downtime and variation
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions for process deviations or quality issues using structured problem‑solving tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, PDCA)
- Support Visual Factory Development by maintaining dashboards, production boards, and andon systems that communicate real‑time status and improvement metrics
- Perform rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies in products related to Relay Panels, Low Voltage Switchgear and Substation Buildings
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4‑6 years of experience as a manufacturing technician or related field
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time
- Must have manual dexterity to handle small components
- Must have excellent hand‑eye coordination
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
