Business Partner Lead, Research Science Services role at BioSpace. This position reports to the Executive Director for R&D and ATMOS Sourcing and leads partnership strategies, business planning, governance, and value realization across Global Research. This role supports transforming Global Procurement into a strategic value driver within the organization. What You Will Do

Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader within the Research organization, offering insights into market trends, supplier capabilities, and best practices for R&D strategies. Forge strategic, high-impact partnerships with key partners across Global Research, aligning business priorities with Category strategies. Leverage market intelligence to craft business strategies aligned with Research category objectives. Collaborate with the supply base to drive supplier-enabled innovation that supports and enhances partner objectives. Provide Research Procurement expertise to catalyze business development, operational innovation, and other high-value initiatives. Work with Finance and cross-functional teams to generate, capture, and recognize value across the Research pipeline; influence budget decisions and P&L outcomes to increase impact. Promote the adoption of Procurement-led, business-aligned strategic initiatives; ensure integration across stakeholders, end users, suppliers, and strategic partners. Bridge procurement performance with business objectives by driving the implementation of initiatives developed by Category Leads. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree and 4 years of experience in procurement, category management, research and development, or related fields Or Master’s degree and 8 years of experience in procurement, category management, research and development, or related fields Or Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in procurement, category management, research and development, or related fields In addition, at least 4 years of experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resources (managerial experience may run concurrently with the above technical experience) Preferred Qualifications Experience leading Research Procurement categories and teams, from shaping strategies to execution Research Procurement Category experience in Biotech or Pharma Advanced degree or significant professional experience in Research and Development Analytical approach focused on performance metrics and value management, including pipeline value generation and realization Experience in Research Category Management, including Specialty Labs, Lab Supplies and Equipment, and Preclinical Studies Expertise in Research and Development Contracting and/or Sourcing Excellence Track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders as a trusted business partner Strong leadership and influence within matrixed teams, guiding cross-functional efforts Experience spearheading cross-functional initiatives and strategic category trade-offs; representation at top-level decision-making forums Change management skills enabling adoption of complex Procurement and business strategies Ability to translate business priorities into actionable category strategies Deep understanding of driving supplier-enabled innovation into R&D ecosystems Outstanding communication and collaborator engagement abilities What You Can Expect From Us
