Job Description Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to join our team in a corporate building environment. The Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely delivery to key stakeholders, and maintaining efficient communication channels.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.

Process outgoing mail and ensure compliance with postal regulations.

Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, envelope openers, scanners, and label printers.

Maintain accurate logs and records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

Coordinate with courier services (e.g., FedEx, UPS) for pickups and deliveries.

Ensure secure handling and delivery of confidential and sensitive documents.

Prepare and deliver interoffice pouches to designated departments.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding mail and package status in person and via email.

Track and trace packages using internal systems and external courier tools.

Prepare shipping labels and documentation for domestic and international mail.

Monitor and replenish mailroom supplies such as envelopes, stamps, and labels.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom and related work areas.

Support administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and data entry.

Assist with office errands and deliveries requiring a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license.

Proficiency in speaking and writing English.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience operating mailroom equipment and using tracking systems.

Familiarity with postal regulations and courier procedures.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $23.80 - $28.00
